In addition to the general conditions and indemnities applicable to all of our guests, the following rules apply specifically to hunters:

  1. There will be a minimum of two and a maximum of four hunters per hunting group.

  2. Each hunting group will stay a minimum of two nights.

  3. Hunters must be accompanied by at least one tracker at all times.

  4. All hunting will be conducted on foot; no hunting will be permitted from a vehicle.

  5. Hunting will be permitted only during daylight hours (allowing two hunts per day).

  6. Each missed shot will incur a fee of _____.

  7. Hunters are responsible for full payment for wounded game that is not located.

  8. Fees for all game shot are payable in full prior to the end of the hunter's stay at Maranata.

  9. Hunters are responsible for species and gender identification.

  10. All rifles must be calibrated on the shooting range before hunting is permitted.

  11. Hunters must ensure that they bring the correct caliber of rifle for the species to be hunted (e.g., 308, 30-06, 375 for blue wildebeast; 243, 222, .22 for duiker).

  12. No hunting with handguns will be permitted. Handguns may be used on the shooting range for practice only.

  13. Birds may be hunted only with shotguns.
